Summer Holidays 2009

We just got back from being off from 2 weeks of holidays and it was GREAT! We couldn't of had a better 2 weeks of hot hot sunny weather! We went to Mahood Lake (Jamie's family cabin) for the majority of our time and on our way home we visited our friends (Jason & Jen) in Kamloops. They just had a baby boy on the 17th of July so it was perfect timing. We also spent a night at Point Roberts on Sunday of the long weekend. We figured it was too hot to be in town and we needed to cool off by the beach. Here are some pics from our holidays, most of them are of Abby & Sam.

Our Translink Adventure!!!!

So we had an pretty interesting experience doing the walk over the new Golden Ears Bridge, it was definitely busy as expected but we made it no problems until the way back to where we parked which was PM Westcoast Express station on Harris Road. For some reason the PM Airport was the first stop before ours so we were going down the airport road and the bus driver missed his turn so he decided to make the next turn which wasn't going to take us anywhere so I guess he saw a paved road to our left but in order to get there it was a big empty sand lot (I guess for a new building) so he proceeded to drive through this. Well everyone is thinking we are gonna get stuck and there is dust flying in the bus and then all of a sudden we stop and the bus driver says "We're STUCK." Well DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH we all knew that was going to happen! I wouldn't of even attempted this in my truck let alone a big huge accordion style bus!! Anyways we all got out and waited and waited and tried to figure out who we could call to come and save us. We ended up catching another bus but it was about 45 minutes later. O well in the end we just laughed at how DUMB the whole thing was!!! But I wanted to share these pics with everyone so you can see it for yourselves!!

Abby's Birthday Pics

Abby put on her smiley face for the camera for her 1st birthday pics. In the first pic she is grinding her teeth as she had some new ones coming in. She now has 8 teeth, including a moral in the back. She is doing very well with the teething except for always having a bad diaper rash that keeps coming and going. Poor girl, but considering this she is still very happy. She has been going to daycare now for 4 weeks and seems to have the hang of it now. For the first 3 weeks when I brought her into the daycare and put her down she would cry but only for a couple of seconds and apparently never cried again during the day. Now when I bring her in she right away is playing with the kids and couldn't care less where I am! HAHA!

Happy 1st Birthday Abigail!!

This is a little late, but better late than never! Here are a couple of pics that were taken on Abby's first birthday! She didn't want anything to do with her birthday hat so it stayed far away from her. She hesitated a little with her cake and then drove into it and enjoyed every bite! She got some pics taken at the Walmart portrait studio so once I get those back I will post them.

Happy Easter!

Here are a couple of pics from Abby's first Easter. Unfortunately Abby wasn't feeling well this weekend so she wasn't the happiest little Easter bunny, but was not bad considering. Her Oma bought her a cute little Easter outfit that matched her cousin Sam! The 2 of them looked sooo adorable!

Abby never usually sits still long enough for us to take a pic like this, but being sick she was a very cuddly Easter bunny this weekend! And Mya didn't seem to mind! Sooo cute!

Some Updates of Abby

Here are some newer pics, I have been a little behind with getting things updated so here it goes. Abby is just about turning ONE! I cannot believe my baby is almost 1!!! I really understand now when our parents used to say to us "Oh you are growing up soo fast." I never agreed, but now I can see!

I am going back to my old job part-time just 3 days a week and Abby will be going to a daycare right close to home. She has tried it out and seemed to really enjoy it, which will make it easier on me I think?? Stayed tuned for more pics after the BIG PRINCESS PARTY!!
